The Pentagon’s sixth UAP file drop is mostly old paper

On September 18, CBS reported that the Pentagon released another batch of files on unidentified anomalous phenomena. CBS counted 71 files: 67 from the Defense Department and four from law enforcement in Colorado, made up of 55 PDFs, 15 videos, and one audio file. Most were redacted. The documents’ own dates run from 1952 to 2025. MeriTalk, writing the same day, described the batch as 72 files. The two counts do not match, so this page will not pretend there is one official tally.

CBS said the files that drew attention concern the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program, a Defense Intelligence Agency effort started in 2008. The release includes 37 Defense Intelligence Reference Documents on topics such as warp drives, wormholes, antigravity, negative mass, and cloaking. CBS noted that all 37 had already been public for years, including through earlier Freedom of Information Act releases.

Avi Loeb, writing after the release, described a 2025 infrared clip and a mission report of six spherical objects. That is his reading of material in the tranche, not a finding by this site. A declassified file can be a study, a video, or a memo. None of those, by being posted, identifies what was in the sky.
