How to draft a work email with a free AI tool
A four-line prompt, a 120-word cap, and the two sentences you still write yourself: the ask, and anything that is a promise.

The prompt
Paste this, then your bullets. “Write a reply. Reader is [name and role]. Constraint: under 120 words, the ask is the first sentence, no greeting fluff. Use only the bullets below. If a fact is missing, write [need] instead of guessing.”
Any free chat plan can do this. The constraint matters more than which logo is in the tab.
What you still type
Read the draft out loud. Replace the first sentence if you would not say it to that person. Check every date, dollar amount, and name against your bullets. Fill each [need] yourself. If the model promised something you did not write — a deadline, a discount, a yes — delete that sentence.
Two minutes of that edit is the point. Sending the raw draft is how a free tool creates a problem you then spend an hour unwinding.
When not to use it
A two-line reply you already know, a note with someone else’s private details, or a message where the tone is the whole job. Those are faster by hand. The email guide is for the blank page, not for every ping.
